We are leaving 2022 behind us but are proud to have delivered another strong year to our customers with many exciting growth stories and exits. As the sun is making its way through the grey clouds and darkness more often as we are slowly entering the spring of 2023, we look forward to continue to deliver on all our commitments to the client and make sure that we are the legal partner of choice #fromstarttoexitandbeyond.
2023 has kicked off like no year before and we are busy in all areas and continuously adding new members to our team. In this edition you will meet a few of our new team members. Make sure to be introduced to them next time you visit the Synch HQ. Synch has just, on 1 March 2023, turned 9 years and plans are all in motion for our 10-years celebrations next year. For another year in a row, Sara is the only lawyer in Sweden ranked in all three categories (anti-counterfeiting, enforcement and litigation and prosecution and strategy). Impressive! We are also excited to say that Synch received praise from clients in enforcement/litigation and for prosecution/strategy.

OSKAR ARNDT
Oskar Arndt, former General Counsel at iZettle, recruited to Synch – to strengthen our offerings in Venture and Fintech "Oskar is an important addition to our firm, creating a dream team that will further consolidate our position as one of the top firms in Venture and Fintech. His unique experience positions us perfectly to take the next leap towards becoming the leading player in the Nordic region within these fields," says Jim Runsten, CEO of Synch.
Oskar has more than 15 years of experience in Venture and Fintech, most recently as general counsel at iZettle by PayPal. During his tenure, the company increased its turnover from SEK 11 million to 900 million and the number of employees increased from 70 to over 850 globally. Prior to that, Oskar worked for six years with M&A at a law firm in Stockholm.
"At first I did not plan to work at a law firm again, but when I met the team at Synch I had to rethink. Their ability to identify opportunities and work proactively for their clients is something I have always highly valued during my years as in-house counsel – and something that is difficult to find in law firms in general. ALEXANDRA AHO
"I am excited to be part of the team and help contribute to Synch’s continued success,” says Alexandra Aho, one of Synch’s newest lawyers.
In parallel to her studies at Stockholm University, Alexandra sharpened her skills at various law firms in Sweden. Additionally, she worked with Ladies in Law, a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower women through workshops and lectures provided by industry leaders, “We want every woman to walk away thinking, if someone else can do it, so can I.”
Alexandra will focus on data protection and privacy, a rapidly evolving field where you learn new things each day.Alexandra was judicious when choosing the firm she wanted to work for, “It is inspiring to join an innovative and modern law firm. The people at Synch really met my expectations, and it's amazing to get the oppurtunity to work together with colleagues in the forefront of innovation,” she says.
We are thrilled to have such a skilled and motivated colleague on board as we charter new depths together.

HUGO SNÖBOHLM HARTZELL
“I really appreciate how Synch approaches its business. It is very inspiring,” says Hugo Snöbohm Hartzell, one of Synch’s newest recruits.
Hugo is a recent graduate of Stockholm University, where he obtained his Master of Laws. He has previous experience from working at a telecom company, a start-up within fintech, and in a business law firm. His goal, after graduation, was to find a tech-driven, nontraditional law-firm that encouraged an ’out of the box’ approach. That is how he found Synch.
“My first impression of Synch is that everybody is very welcoming. I’ve had a great introduction to their way of working,” comments Hugo. Hugo specialises in commercial IT law, intellectual property and FinTech. He is a skillful navigator of the crossroads where the law meets the rapidly evolving tech industries. Hugo’s skillset will be a valuable asset to our clients throughout all stages of their business development – from start, to exit, and beyond. He is a great addition to the Synch team. |
LINA PERSSON
“What attracted me to Synch is that it is a law firm at the forefront of innovation, and that's where I thrive,” says Lina Persson, newly recruited lawyer at Synch.
Lina will work with commercial agreements, employment law and data protection, a legal area that is developing at a rapid pace. “At Synch there is a genuine curiosity about technology, and digitalization. This is inspiring and I am looking forward to taking the next steps in these areas.”
Lina graduated from Lund University in 2021. She worked as a legal clerk at different law firms during her studies and has been working as a lawyer in Stockholm for the past two years. Lina is an exceptional lawyer with great potential. We are very happy to have her joining our team. |

Recently we had an amazing day Out of Office! We got to listen to lectures from both our CEO Jim and a inspirational guest speaker. The activity of the day was a Game Show at On Air in The Old Town, where we discovered that the competitive instinct was extra strong in some of us. If you are arranging an Out Of Office day for your collegues, we can really recommend this! We ended the night together with a nice dinner at a cozy restaurant in The Old Town.
