With the latest announcements from major vendors such as Teradici, IGEL, NVIDIA, Avid, Quest/One Identity and the Cloud providers Azure, Google and Amazon we are happy to deliver news that will improve productivity and cost benefits from on-prem to the cloud.
IGEL has a new software strategy with thier latest thin client OS11 that is now hardware agnostic, available for any supported x86 machine regardless of manufacturer. IGEL has just recently also announced support for the PCoIP client and the enhanced PCoIP Ultra display protocol.
Teradici has announced PCoIP Ultra which amongst other features will enhance the PCoIP protocol to support GPU acceleration with Quadro Virtual Data Center Workstation software and the NVIDIA RTX Server as the first example of the expanded multi-codec support in PCoIP Ultra.
In addition available with Teradici Cloud Access Software you got the Teradici Cloud Access Manager that will support managing desktops and users from on-prem to a multi cloud environment of your choice as needed.

With the new software strategy IGEL is also implementing a new license model which allows you to easily license and manage any compatible 64-bit x86 device. Workspace Edition is offered as a transferable license, meaning you can deploy a Workspace Edition license to one device and then move it to another device in the future. Using the new approach, you can move licenses around every day if you want. With Workspace Edition and Enterprise Management Pack plus the new software maintenance and support offerings enable you to always stay current with the latest updates while providing enterprise support.
Workspace Edition perpetual license consists of the core IGEL OS and the enterprise-class Universal Management Suite (UMS) and incorporates features including the Multimedia Codec Pack (MMCP), UMS High Availability (HA) and IGEL Management Interface (IMI) programming interface.
Enterprise Management Pack subscription license is a set of IGEL UMS extensions offered as a subscription-based license to enhance the enterprise capabilities of your IGEL environment. With the Enterprise Pack, you can manage devices residing in far-reaching locations like remote offices and work-at-home users through a secure connector. Furthermore, with the Enterprise Pack, you can deploy custom applications and workloads directly to the IGEL OS itself. With Asset Tracking, you can report on all USB peripherals attached to your devices, and you can manage iOS devices using the IGEL UMS MDM feature.
In addition to use any compatible 64-bit x86 device you can still purchase IGEL hardware such as UD Pocket, UD2, UD3, UD6 and UD7.

Teradici has announced the future of PCoIP with a set of enhancements named PCoIP Ultra. Available now in May to Teradici Cloud Access Software users, these enhancements use an expanded array of encoders, enabling the choice of the most efficient hardware or software codecs according to content characteristics. This flexibility results in a faster, more interactive experience for users of remote workstations working with high-resolution content including creative design applications, dynamic wireframes, video editorial suites and animation tools.

As recently announced, IGEL and Teradici are working together to offer IGEL thin client customers a solution to connect to any of the major public clouds like AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure in addition to on-prem datacenters - with the security and performance of PCoIP and future PCoIP Ultra enhancements.
IGEL will add the Teradici PCoIP Software Client for Linux to their family of thin clients including the UD Pocket, UD2, UD3, UD6 and UD7. Customers using the PCoIP Software Client and a Teradici All Access subscription have greater choice and flexibility to connect to a cloud and or on-prem solution of their preference.
