While most major tech companies have chosen to settle north of Stockholm, Tre moves to Söderstaden, in the southern part of town. Here, opposite the Globe Arena, telecom operator, Tre, has moved into Fabege's new landmark building. They become pioneers as the first major employer in the technology and telecom industry to locate south of the island of Södermalm. In this newsletter you will see the new building where Tre takes off towards tomorrow's telecom. If you would like to see all the details, click on the pictures to view them in a larger size. Enjoy!

Telecom operator Tre moves into a new landmark

While most major tech companies have chosen to settle north of Stockholm, Tre moves to Söderstaden, in the southern part of town. Here, opposite the Globe Arena, telecom operator, Tre, has moved into Fabege's new landmark building. They become pioneers as the first major employer in the technology and telecom industry to locate south of the island of Södermalm.

In this newsletter you will see the new building where Tre takes off towards tomorrow's telecom. If you would like to see all the details, click on the pictures to view them in a larger size.

Enjoy!

Raspberry colored staircase leads the way

All employees and visitors pass through the same entrance at Entrétorget 5. On the inside visitors are met directly by a communal café and a large lively atrium. The raspberry colored staircase passes through the 14 floors of the building.

Everyone chooses seat location and working method

All employees have been strongly involved in the creation of “3Huset”, which is an extension of Tre's strong values when it comes to openness and cooperation. By choosing where they want to sit and how they set up their working day, each individual, team and project is given the opportunity to get the very best of themselves. In the image above, a team gathers around its personal space and holds a meeting for the day's work.

The typical employee at Tre is lively, foresightful, young, sporty and healthy. The new building reflects the company's international diversity. “The differences make us better together while we create the telecom of the future,” says CEO Johan Johansson.

Active recreation at high level

In addition to secluded spaces, there are also plenty of areas for various recreational activities. On the roof next to the high tower there is a running track with an outdoor deck that is probably Sweden's coolest employee gym, complete with a view of Globen and close-by neighborhood, Skärmarbrink.

Hello, Yes, This is Dog

The enclosed meeting rooms have been decorated with different phenomena from YouTube that relate to Tre's world of communication. “Hello, Yes, This is Dog” comes from the 1984 “Pejzaži u magli” (Landscape in the Mist) film, which was released early on the web, followed by a host of spinoffs and memes on YouTube and Facebook.

Control and training with extensive views

On floor 13 in the upper section is the control room that monitors all traffic. And higher up on level 14, Tre's training rooms are located. Both floors feature great views of the island of Södermalm and central Stockholm. The advantage of a high-rise office south of town is that there is no sun shade window protection that automatically lowers and obscures the view of the city.

About 3

Tre Skandinavien (Hi3G Access AB) was launched in December 2000 with the vision of creating a brand-new platform for mobile communications. Currently Tre owns and operates 3G and 4G mobile networks in Sweden and Denmark and employs approximately 2,000 people.

Tre has a long tradition of safeguarding a sustainable working life for its employees. They were the first Swedish company with flexible holidays in 2014. Staff may choose to exchange Swedish traditional holidays with other holidays that are consistent with the employee's belief, religion or conviction.

That led to Tre being named as the “Employer Branding Company of the Year” for 2017 by the research and consulting company, Universum. Tre has also been highly rated among major organizations in the “Great Place To Work®” survey, which this year led to a place in their Hall of Fame.
