The original 2001 cast of THERE will reunite for a trip to Cuba and Festival de Teatro de la Habana from 18–22 October. JSK has visited this festival before, with the production THE SOCIETY in 2011, and the company is thrilled to be back this year! At the same time THE VIRUS embark on a Norwegian tour, including cities like Sandnes, Kristiansand, Trondheim, Skien, Larvik and Bærum. In addition to performing for the general public, this production will introduce the younger audiences to modern dance, through school performances and workshops. COCO CHANEL - co-production with Ulrike Quade Company (NL) - continues touring The Netherlands, see the schedule for dates and venues. It is available for booking for 2018.

DEEP TIME by Virpi Pahkinen Dance Company will premiere 24-26 Nov 2017 at Dansens Hus, Stockholm (SE). DEEP TIME unfreezes the core of time and turns it into spectral spirals; time expands in a distant nebula. Virpi Pahkinen comes together with five dancers, a coloratura soprano and a percussionist to make a determined dive into the infinite depth of time. For full credits and tickets - please read here.

Tero Saarinen Company is currently touring in the USA and Canada with MORPHED, Saarinen's creation for seven male dancers to music by Esa-Pekka Salonen. Follow the Company's month-long North American tour in
 Ottawa, Williamstown, New York City and Vancouver by viewing backstage diary entries on Instagram. 

The Finland premiere of Tero Saarinen and accordionist Kimmo Pohjonen's duet BREATH has now been published! The full-evening creation will be seen at Tampere Hall in Finland on 12 May 2018. Its world premiere is at Grand Théâtre de Québec (CA) on 12 April 2018, followed by a season by Danse Danse at Place des Arts, Montreal (CA) on 17–21 April 2018.

THE THUNDERSTRUCK PROJECT by Stina Nyberg is presented at MDT, Stockholm (SE) 28-31 Oct 2017. The project walks in the footsteps of the genius and madman Nikola Tesla and departs from the 19th century phenomena of touring electricity shows. Choreography och performance by Stina Nyberg. FROZEN SONGS - produced by zero visibility corp, the Arctic Theatre and Ibsen International - is a fruitful result of a long time development and commitment. After a successful run at The Arctic Theatre in Tromsø the piece is coming to Oslo (NO). zero visibility corp. cannot wait to share the piece with the local audiences and international peers visiting the Coda Oslo International Dance Festival. Watch a video. zero visibility corp. was in September 2017 awarded base funding from Arts Council Norway - for the period 2019-2020. The new period of base funding allows the company to continue development for another 2 years.

Gunilla Heilborn's piece THE WONDERFUL AND THE ORDINARY premiered at the Steirischer Herbst Festival, Graz, Austria, in September and is now heading to Dansens Hus Stockholm (SE), 27 - 28 Oct 2017. Watch the new trailer here.
THE WONDERFUL AND THE ORDINARY inquire into all sorts of memories, raising the question if it’s only the amazing stuff that is worth to remember. The focus in the piece is on the function of memory; how facts change due to our endless need for narratives. The piece is a coproduction with Theater im Bahnhof from Graz, and the Gunilla Heilborn Company.

Norrdans has been invited to the International Festival of Arts, Diaghilev P.S. Festival in St Petersburg, Russia. Norrdans is pleased to be able to meet the Russian demand for Mats Ek choreographies by presenting Mats Ek´s PAS DE DANSE. Norrdans will also perform Martins Forsberg´s AB3 in the festival. Martin is no stranger to Russia - he has presented and created work in Russia with his own company Forsworks. AB3 and PAS DE DANSE can be seen in the Youth Theatre on the Fontanka, on 24 Nov 2017.

In the performance ANTARKTIS (ANTARCTICA), choreographed by the Polish-Swedish choreographer Lidia Wos, the audience is invited to an ice-covered world. On stage, there are 6 dancers and 14 musicians who together give the rugged landscape life. Paula of Malmborg Ward's music flows in an imaginative scene created by the scenographer Tomas Sjöstedt. With the performance TILL OZ (TO OZ) Regionteater Väst has taken on a real classic. With elegant sound collage from the original movie together with composed music, a fairytale world has been created. Andersson Dance (SE) is on the tour in Sweden with the new work ALAE, created for the three performers Javier Perez, Ida "Inxi" Holmlund and Jernej Bizjak and pianist Per Tengstrand. Andersson Dance continues the in-depth collaboration with Scottish Ensemble (UK) as the GOLDBERG VARIATIONS - TERNARY PATTERNS FOR INSOMNIA journey continues during fall 2017 and spring 2018. 27-28 Oct 2017 Andersson Dance and Scottish Ensemble perform two nights at Shanghai Concert Hall in China. 26-28 April 2018 they are invited to perform four shows at The Kennedy Center in Washington, USA and three shows at The Barbican in London 5-7 July 2018. After the successful premiere at Dansens Hus, Stockholm (SE), in March 2017, Charlotta Öfverholm/Age on Stage now tour the north of Sweden. Next stop is Tel Aviv on 24-25 Oct 2017 to perform at The Suzanne Dellal Centre.

SURVIVAL KIT consists of two pieces; BEAUTY AND THE BEAST by Martin Harriague and LIGHTHOUSE by Sharon Fridman, performed to live music by musicians Lauri Antila and James Friedman. Dancers are Charlotta Öfverholm and Rafi Sady.

The new version of BABY SPACE, choreographed installation for babies by Dalija Acin Thelander is produced in collaboration with and for Nuuk Nordisk Kulturfestival 2017, Nuuk, Greenland, and will be premiered on 16 Oct 2017. The project is created in collaboration with composer and dancers from Nuuk and it will remain in Greenland for continuous encounters with its audience.
Interlacing contemporary dance, music and visual arts within an immersive, installation based environment, BABY SPACE invites its audience to a sensorially saturated experience and proposes an exceptional encounter with art. It has been produced so far in Singapore, China, Japan, Denmark, Poland, Serbia.

Once again DON GNU sets all on one board! HUMAN IN BALANCE will premiere 9-10 Nov 2017 at Bora Bora in Aarhus (DK). Balancing on the gigantic board "the turmoil" dancers and citizens from Aarhus and Pafos examine man as an individual and as a Citizen in a united Europe, where nobody moves without affecting the others. Experience a beautiful mixture of a blue open sky, the heating sun and colourful everyday-mayhem in Cyprus - and the well-structured cool Nordic shades framing life in Denmark. Live music, documentary video projections and a mix of Danish and Cyprus dancers bring Pafos to Aarhus in this powerful and poetic performance, combining the crooked tacts of the Greek Zembekiko with the well-known streamlined waltz. 
A project by European Capital of Culture 2017, presented in co-operation with Dance House Lemesos from Cyprus and Bora Bora – Dance & Visual Theatre.

Memory Wax dance company has the last six years collaborated with the Cuban dance company Danza Teatro Retazos in Havanna creating the performances POSSIBLE IMPOSSIBLE (2014) and CRISÁLIDA (2015). The performances have been touring in Sweden, USA and Canada. On 13 Oct 2017 CRISÁLIDA is presented in Suecia Konst Cuba Jornadas de Cultura Sueca at La Fabrica invited by the Swedish Embassy in Havanna.
BREATHE, a solo performed by Memory Wax's artistic director Johanna Jonasson was premiered on 28 Sep 2017 at Inkonst, Malmö (SE). The performance is created with the inspiration from Ingmar Bergman's cinematic universe in collaboration with the Ingmar Bergman Foundation. Available for touring during 2018 to celebrate the 100-year jubilee of Bergman' s birth and performed in Transistor festival 25 Oct 2017 Inter Arts Center, Malmö (SE).

Memory Wax´s performances for children:
SHADOWLANDS (for 5-9 years old) is Memory Wax's first production for children produced in 2008. Next dates of tour is at the Children' s stage in Malmö, Sweden 15-19 Oct 2017.
CLAROSCURO (for 3-6 years old) premiered Sep 2016 and tours Norrbotten (SE): Arvidsjaur, Piteå, Luleå, Jokkmokk och Älvsbyn 10-15 Nov 2017, all dates and times here.

Ingrid Olterman Dans is artist in residence in Upplands-Bro, a municipal of Stockholm (SE). The residency lasts for 1 year and ends with the completion of the new work ÖAR (ISLANDS) for children 3-6 years old and their families. ISLANDS is a performance and an installation where choreographed events take place. Dance, music, sculpture and bodies fill the space, consisting of different islands, all created by professional artists for children. ÖAR premieres 14 Oct 2017 at Kungsängens Kulturhus (SE).
