EIZO Enters Marine Industry with 21.3-inch Monitors
Eizo recently announced its entry into the marine industry by introducing two 21.3-inch monitors scheduled for release in February of 2012.

The first two monitors will be the DuraVision FDU2101 and the DuraVision FDU2101T. Both are panel mount monitors and are specifically designed for use in monitoring systems in the engine rooms of marine vessels. The DuraVision FDU2101T comes with a touch panel and accepts input from both a bare and gloved hand, wet or dry. Both monitors utilize VA (vertical alignment) panel technology with a 1600 x 1200 native resolution and wide 178° viewing angles so two people can view the screen at once.

EIZO Adds Four Diagnostic Monitors with Environmentally-Friendly LED Backlight and Multifunctional Sensors

The successful RadiForce G&R-Series of diagnostic monitors is now extended with four new models, the 3 megapixel monochrome GX340 and color RX340, and the 2 megapixel monochrome GX240 and color RX240.

The new models incorporate LED (light-emitting diode) backlights which, unlike conventional CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent lamp) backlights, deteriorate more slowly and thus the monitor offers a longer service life. EIZO offers 5 year full warranty for monochrome monitors and 5 years or 20,000 hours when used at recommended brightness for color monitors. This ensures stable and reliable performance that is needed for diagnostic monitors.

EIZO to Start Quality Control Management Server Hosting

EIZO recently announced RadiNET Pro Web Hosting, a network quality control (QC) server hosting service for hospitals around the world.

By moving from film to filmless, more and more monitors are installed and used in hospital facilities for displaying medical images. Quality of the monitor changes slowly over time, thus periodic QC such as checking and calibration is required to maintain quality. This workload of hospital monitor administrators for QC management is growing in accordance to the monitor multiplication.

eSport - Patrik “cArn” Sättermon visits EIZO

Gaming legend Patrik “cArn” Sättermon of the professional gaming team Fnatic recently visited the EIZO headquarters in Japan to tour the EIZO factory and test out the new FORIS FS2332 monitor. EIZO FORIS FS2332 awarded!
EIZO FORIS FS2332 tested and awarded by Danish flatpanelshd.com / flatpanels.dk and Norwegian hardware.no

flatpanelshd.com / flatpanels.dk wrote:

"I must say that I am a bit impressed with FS2332 here, as I did not expect a product in this price range to offer such accurate picture characteristics out-of-box. It clearly shows that Eizo has taken advantage of their expertise in monitors for the cheaper FORIS line-up."

"We are very surprised to find that even out-of-box picture quality was great – and surprisingly good for a monitor with such a low price tag."

"After calibration we managed to improve color accuracy further but I am sure that most users will be more than satisfied with Eizo’s pre-calibrated settings."

"The Eizo FS2332 has already been a popular choice for some StarCraft 2 gamers and we can understand why. IPS based monitors, such as the FS2332, are great performers in strategy games. The picture quality and color accuracy is superior to the cheaper TN panels. And even though FS2332 is not 100 % on par with 120 Hz TN panels, I would imagine that most gamers will prefer the better picture quality on an IPS panel compared to the cheaper TN panel."

+ IPS panel and picture quality
+ Color accuracy
+ Price
+ Low motion blur and no overdrive trailing

EIZO FORIS FS2331 received two awards by Swedish 'Tidningen FOTO'

'Tidningen FOTO' wrote the below about the FORIS FS2331 (translated from Swedish):

Conclusions

"Yes, FORIS FS2331 does very well for photo interested in where it also can serve as a very skilled gaming monitor as well as for video, this thanks to its deep blacks, high contrast and flexible presets. In fact, FORIS FS2331 also will do quite well for professionals and photo editing as long as you stay within the narrower sRGB color space. But then we highly recommend that you supplement with a calibrator such as the Spyder 3 or Eizo Easy PIX."

+ Impressive deep blackness
+ High contrast
+ Remote control
+ Nice grayscales in the sRGB-mode
+ Flexible connectivity
+ Price
