Ingun Bjørnsgaard Prosjekt’s new production GJENSTAND OG FORTVILELSE (OBJECT AND DESPAIR) will premiere at Dansens Hus, Oslo (NO), on 21–23 Nov 2025. Co-produced by Dansens Hus and DansiT (NO), the performance will tour to Trondheim (NO) and be presented as part of DansiT´s program, played at Rosendal Teater from 27–28 Nov 2025.
Here, Bjørnsgaard examines human fallibility in close collaboration with the dancers Catharina Vehre Gresslien, Edith Askeland, and Ludvig Daae. In the methodological development of the performance, thematic studies of social conventions are fragmented and abstracted through Ingun Bjørnsgaard's signature movement structures and complex layering, creating an ambiguous atmosphere. Composer Jan Martin Smørdal performs the music live on stage, and by means of everyday instrument-objects created for the performance.
With more than 30 years in the dance field, the company receives continuous funding from Arts and Culture Norway through 2028.

In the dance piece AIR BODY SAD, British-American choreographer Malik Nashad Sharpe and Norrdans invite the audience into a world of dark fantasy and horror, where every movement is a struggle between despair and hope. Through rhythmic and intense choreography, the work explores the boundaries of the body and what happens when it moves at the intersection of haunted margins and glittering pop culture.
The work is infused with the raw fragility of coming-of-age films, reflecting that time in life when everything feels uncertain, overwhelming, too close. A time when the body reaches for belonging and carries an inner rebellion that refuses to be tamed.
On 18 Nov 2025, AIR BODY SAD will be performed at Luleå Kulturhus (SE), and on 24 Nov 2025 at Sundsvalls Teater (SE). More info at norrdans.se.
