With great pleasure, Nagelhus Schia Productions announces a new collaboration with Damien Jalet, one of the world’s leading choreographers. Jalet’s previous work with the company resulted in the critically acclaimed DUELS at the Vigeland Museum in 2020. DUELS later became a film directed by Jonas Åkerlund, currently being screened at film festivals around the world

This piece, THRICE, is a triptych, as its name suggests. The number three is an important one, both in Damien Jalet's work and in the references he cites. This number also, and above all, recalls the elements that Octavio Paz summons in his poem Wind, Water, Stone. These fundamental, complementary components are gathered here in three sequences, Gusts, Médusés, and Brise-lames, around a literal common ground.

Premiere: 21 June 2025 at The Norwegian Opera & Ballet in Oslo (NO). Running 21 June 2025–22 June 2025.
Tour dates: 23 July 2025, Kalamata International Dance Festival (GR), 28 and 30 July 2025, ImPulsTanz in Vienna (AT).

Andersson Dance continues in 2025 with performances of the critically acclaimed MÖSSAN, based on the novel by Thomas Bernhard.

MÖSSAN is a virtuoso test of strength for the performer. Choreographer Örjan Andersson, together with actor and dancer Olof Yassin, creates a physical solo where words are given body. It shows a frightening and grotesquely comical world that describes the human being's confinement in his head. Austrian author Thomas Bernhard’s manic short story depicts an absurd journey into the world of obsession.

Performance dates: 22-24 May 2025, Folkteatern in Gothenburg (SE)

STUFF IN THE PARK invites audiences to experience four distinctive and powerful dance works by some of the Nordic region’s most exciting choreographers. Each piece is adapted to the outdoor space it inhabits, touring through parks across Sweden. Among blossoming flowers, fresh air, and vibrant summer energy, world-class dance and choreography emerge.

Janina Rajakangas presents A PROCESSION – a playful parade of dance, song, and instruments that celebrates the strange beauty within us. Philip Berlin's THE PLEASURE OF WASTE dives into our obsession with productivity and growth, offering sharply focused choreography that questions our way of living. Sigrid Stigsdatter's WAILING is a raw, emotional search for resonance in a quieting world – a blend of howls, movement, and longing. In FOOT FORWARD AND THE OTHER ONE TOO THREE, Ingrid Berger Myhre lets dancers step through the park in a witty, spontaneous game of language, rhythm, and connection.

STUFF IN THE PARK re-premieres on 28 May 2025 in Härnösand (SE), kicking off a lively tour across Sweden. Find tour dates and more info at norrdans.se

After three beautiful research weeks in Greece, Gunilla Heilborn and her team are now loaded with pictures of columns and ready to take on their next production WORKS AND DAYS - a grand and messy choreographic investigation. Premiere at Norrlandsoperan in Umeå (SE) on 27 Feb 2026

According to Aristotle, all knowledge begins with wonder, the experience of having experienced something that challenges our usual way of looking at the world, that broadens our horizons, and makes us question our own thoughts. Gunilla Heilborn's performances often have their origin in that very feeling. A wonder is awakened by something - it could be a phenomenon, a text, an encounter, or the name of a planet - which leads her into a self-willed, winding search for knowledge on the subject. She then lets her wonder carry through her works in an ingenious way, so that we, as the audience, are affected by exactly what Aristotle describes when we see the performance.
