Andersson Dance continues 2025 with the critically acclaimed performance MÖSSAN, based on the novel by Thomas Bernhard.
MÖSSAN is a virtuoso test of strength for the performer. Choreographer Örjan Andersson and actor and dancer Olof Yassin create a physical solo where words are given body. It shows a frightening and grotesquely comical world that describes the human being's confinement in his own head. Austrian author Thomas Bernhard’s manic short story depicts an absurd journey into the world of obsession.
Performances: 10-13 Apr 2025, moment, Stockholm (SE), 22-24 May 2025, Folkteatern in Gothenburg (SE)

INSIDE QUEENS is a fabulous opera play for the security of your inner realm, premiering at Folkoperan in Stockholm (SE) on 23-24 April 2025.
Join us on an odyssey into magnificent inner and outer queens in a majestic research expedition led by internationally renowned director and performance artist Charlotte Engelkes. Scenes and songs written by Marina Steinmo and Engelkes are tied together by a fairy tale of a family gaining two queens in an auction to bring joy and glamour to their home. However, both vengeful and forgotten queens appear in the family's summer house and in the attic, creating unexpected chaos.
Charlotte Engelkes, opera singer Maja Frydén, circus artist Julietta Birkeland, and dancer Tobias Ulvfebrand take us on a journey and let us meet both possible and impossible royalty in a tribute to the queen figure in history, fiction, and perhaps in ourselves. All this in a newly composed musical stage work held together by a fairy tale and an exploration of different aspects of responsibility. Newly written music by composer Willi Bopp with elements of Donizetti’s opera Maria Stuarda and together with a String quintet. More info here. Tickets here.

Can reality be choreographed? Can reality dictate the choreography? Norrdans’ ten dancers share the stage with ten local residents, forming a unique ensemble that explores the concepts of crowds and power.
The crowd is a force in itself, capable of both support and destruction. In CROWDS & POWER, Martin Forsberg creates a choreographic field that stretches between the human mass and the actions that reveal the scales of power – between human connection and the dynamics of both the grand and the small.
In CROWDS & POWER, we experience set and costume design by David Gehrt and composed music by Anna-Sóley Tryggvadóttir. The work is enriched by Mads Lindegaard's lighting design. CROWDS & POWER is bombastic, monumental, and sentimentally intimate.
The world premiere took place on 14 Mar 2025 in Härnösand(SE), and is followed by a tour across northern Sweden, concluding with two shows at Dansens Hus in Stockholm (SE) on 9-10 May 2025.

Jon R. Skulberg and Convoi Exceptionnel recently premiered their latest work, DETACHED FROM OTHERS. The performance explores the universal experience of loneliness, highlighting its dual nature as both a fundamental human condition and a critical societal issue. Through a striking fusion of movement, sound, and visual design, it creates a deeply immersive and thought-provoking experience.
The premiere received high praise, earning a six-star review from the Danish performing arts magazine ISCENE, which described it as mesmerizing: " When he finally looks at us, energy radiates so powerfully from his chest that we are spellbound." Read the full review here.
With DETACHED FROM OTHERS, Skulberg once again proves his ability to craft immersive, thought-provoking stage experiences that resonate long after the performance ends.

Viktor Fröjd's new piece, TRACKS, takes its name from a song, a path, or a track. A path to get lost on and tracks to follow in the search for the right track. But it can also be the needle that follows the track on that vinyl record, the sound that arises from dust grains, and that thing that creates recognizable crackles. It is a reminder of the pre-digital world.
Yared Tilahun Cederlund and Viktor Fröjd have worked together for many years in several acclaimed works. Now, as a duo, they want to use the interplay they have developed through rhythm, mystery, and friendship. Dialogue and interaction between two dancers as a counterforce, a kind of alternative to the digital and disenchanted, creates the performance TRACKS.
Premier: 26-27 Mar 2025, Dansstationen/Palladium in Malmö (SE)
Production by Kulturföreningen IVER och Nordberg Movement. Co-producers: Dansstationen Malmö and Norrlandsoperan. Supported by Kulturrådet och Region Skåne.

In every shift of weight, in every movement that doesn't follow an expected pattern, there is an invitation to inhabit the abundance of life. L'EXPOSÉ exists where the dancer's precision unfolds, allowing stillness and motion to coexist in a dissonant flow. The dance materializes through movements vibrating between chaos and excess, gravity and intensity. With elasticity, the dance twists into different spatial patterns as the performers move through these complex paths with high intensity. The dance becomes a catalyst for true poetic waste arising from precision, disorientation, sensory weight distribution, expansion, and fragmented approaches based on multiple, overlapping techniques. The aim is to create a pathway for the dancer's >>spirit<<.
Premiere: 3 April, 2025, Elverket, Dansens Hus Stockholm (SE)
Production by Terry Johnson & Sara Bergsmark. Co-production: Dansens Hus Stockholm. Funded by Kulturbryggan.
