ORANGE is a dance performance created for everyone – especially for children aged 3 to 9 and the adults in their lives. Dance Theatre Minimi's artistic director and choreographer, Taneli Törmä, is inspired by human connection, touch, and relationships. The work draws inspiration from Reidar Särestöniemi's painting Kielto ja Kaipaus, 1967. In the painting, two bears are seen embracing in an orange field. It's a playful and caring image – the orange color can symbolize shared connection, understanding, and respect for one another.

ORANGE will be touring eastern Finland in the summer and fall of 2026! See the tour dates here. The work can be booked for visits, tours, festivals, and events in Finland and abroad! Read more here.

Lewis.

"The performance is sharp and unsentimental. It is a mix of performance, dance, spoken words, and seasoned with hard electronic music. The three actors do not compromise their expressions but deliver solid performances. Bravo for courage and artistic pondus.” – Kulturnyt (DK)

Acclaimed choreographer and director Gunilla Heilborn presents the German premiere of DANTE at the Potsdamer Tanztage on 4-6 June 2026.

In a mist-filled landscape of songs, fragmented text, and restrained movement, three souls encounter one another on an enigmatic journey through time and memory. Past and present intertwine in a deeply personal interpretation of Dante’s enduring questions about humanity, longing, and existence. Performed in English, the work features Sophie Augot, Ludvig Daae, and Kristiina Viiala.

DANTE received the Swedish Theatre Critics Dance Award 2024 with the words:
"With a light-hearted take on the life of medieval poet Dante Alighieri and his "The Divine Comedy," Gunilla Heilborn and her ensemble take the audience on an existential excursion that is quirky, entertaining, and thought-provoking. "Dante" is another chapter in the choreographer's unique artistry that seemingly seamlessly moves between dance, philosophy, and image."

A magical circus performance about losses with music by the American artist Beirut. The work is inspired by the novel "Verzeichnis einiger Verluste" by Judith Schalansky and strives to push the boundaries of contemporary circus. Four circus artists and an array of forgotten everyday objects awaken in an atmospheric landscape where objects carry memories, dreams, and phantom pains.

"A Study of Losses is a beautiful and gravity-defying circus set to wistful music by the artist Beirut" – Aftonbladet (SE)

A STUDY OF LOSSES is one of the six selected performances for Young Swedstage 2026. Young Swedstage will take place at the BIBU Performing Arts Festival for children and youth in Helsingborg (SE), from 27-30 May 2026. BIBU is Sweden's most important meeting place with, for, and about professional performing arts for children and youth.

HABITAT is a new commissioned work created in collaboration with Balettakademien in Göteborg (SE), premiering at Balettakademien, on 22–24 May 2026. Read more and book your ticket here.

What shapes us the most – the place we are in or the path we take from there?

HABITAT, our living environment, could be likened to a state, a rhythm, or an echo of what we call home. We carry our habitat within us: in our habits, in our fears, in our longing. In the performance, the stage becomes a living terrain where boundaries are blurred between the inner and outer landscapes, between what we call home and what we have not yet dared to approach. Through the dancers' bodies, a negotiation takes place between what keeps them there and what calls them onward.

HABITAT is a physical and poetic dance performance about our different living environments – the ones we choose, the ones we are trapped in, and the ones we long to leave. Choreography by Helena Franzén. Music by Jukka Rintamäki. Film by Håkan Jelk. Sound & lighting design by Karl Wassholm.

After a sold-out spring, the Folkoperan is now releasing a new season of THE OLYMPIADE with a new premiere on 3 Apr 2027. Tickets are on sale here

Vivaldi’s THE OLYMPIADE took Stockholm (SE) by storm when it was performed at the Folkoperan from 19 Feb-22 Mar 2026. This genre-defying production unites opera singers, dancers, and musicians in a visually stunning performance led by director Charlotte Engelkes and musical director Peter Spišský. Created in collaboration with Linus Fellbom (lighting), Anna Ardelius (costume), and Sofia Södergård (choreography), the show is a high-energy celebration of struggle and emotion.

On 3 July 2026, the artistic duo Byström Källblad will bring their evocative dance and voice work, CALLING WE ARE HERE, to Sergels torg in Stockholm (SE). The performance is presented as part of Kulturhuset Stadsteatern’s summer programming, Parkteatern, På Sergels torg, and DANSISTAN/CIRKUSISTAN.

Later this summer, on 29 Aug 2026, Byström Källblad will debut the latest work, SHE KNOWS, at Karmansbo smedja in Skinnskatteberg (SE). The piece explores the treasures carried within movement and voice, ephemeral riches that can be excavated and passed on without leaving a trace in the land. In an intimate and poetic performance, choreography, a four-thousand-year-old text, and music converge to pose questions that bridge the distant past with the future. A music collaboration with Siri Flensburg and Elin Oskarsson.

The work of Byström Källblad is supported by Kulturrådet, Stockholms stad, Region Västmanland, Region Stockholm, Konstnärsnämnden, and production residence at SITE Sweden 2026. Production: Once Upon A Time, Skeppsholmsstudion.
