In the dance piece AIR BODY SAD, British-American choreographer Malik Nashad Sharpe and Norrdans invite the audience into a world of dark fantasy and horror, where every movement is a struggle between despair and hope. Through rhythmic and intense choreography, the work explores the boundaries of the body and what happens when it moves at the intersection of haunted margins and glittering pop culture.
The work is infused with the raw fragility of coming-of-age films, reflecting that time in life when everything feels uncertain, overwhelming, too close. A time when the body reaches for belonging and carries an inner rebellion that refuses to be tamed.
On 16 Oct 2025, AIR BODY SAD will be performed at CODA Oslo International Dance Festival (NO), on 20-22 Oct 2025 at Danshallarne i Copenhagen (DK), and on 25 Oct 2025 at Dieselverkstaden, Stockholm (SE). The tour continues until 24 Nov 2025 in northern Sweden. More info at norrdans.se.

INNER SONG is a performance that moves at the intersection of live music and dance. It examines how music affects the body and how listening can shape our ways of being in the world.
The starting point is the artists' diverse backgrounds – their landscapes, experiences, and memories – and how these influence our self-image, relationships, and life choices. INNER SONG poses questions about what guides our movements, both from within and without, and how we seek meaning in our actions. The physical presence of music, the role of listening as a form of communication, the state of flow, and the patterns we carry with us are the themes explored in the performance. Four performing artists – Emma Augustsson, Helena Franzén, Jure Gostičar, and Anette Jellne – come together in a laboratory work where they search for what can be called an inner song. Read more here.
The performance had its world premiere at Atalante in Gothenburg (SE) on 10 Oct 2025. Supported by the Swedish Arts Council.
Tour dates: 17-19 Oct 2025 Telefonfabriken, Stockholm (SE), 25 Oct 2025 Skånes Dansteater, Malmö (SE)
