WING DING is a party for all senses when Skånes Dansteater celebrates 30 years. Allow yourself to be overwhelmed by emotions when parts of Skånes Dansteater's dance company enter Malmö Opera's stage together with the Malmö Opera Choir and Malmö Opera Orchestra.
Choreographer Lidia Wos opens the door to a universe filled with twisted movements, unexpected turns, and an absurd humour. WING DING is her crazy, colourful, and weird tribute to movement and the wonderful art of dance. Malmö-based composer Anders Ortman has written the magnificent music for choir and orchestra.
WING DING premieres at Malmö Opera, Malmö (SE) on 10 May 2025 and will be performed until 8 June 2025.

It is with great pleasure that Nagelhus Schia Productions announces a new collaboration with Damien Jalet, one of the world’s leading choreographers. Jalet’s previous work with Nagelhus Schia Productions resulted in the critically acclaimed DUELS at the Vigeland Museum in 2020. The production was later adapted into a film directed by Jonas Åkerlund, which is currently being screened at film festivals worldwide.
Renowned for exploring the intersections between visual art, music, film, theatre, and fashion, Jalet continuously redefines dance as an art form. THRICE is composed of three short pieces: GUSTS, LES MÉDUSÉES, and BRISE-LAMES.
GUSTS will mark its world premiere this summer. LES MÉDUSÉES, originally part of DUELS, draws its title from the French expression “être médusé,” meaning to be paralyzed by astonishment. BRISE-LAMES was initially created in collaboration with visual artist JR for nine dancers at the Paris Opera during the pandemic in 2020. Until now, it has only been available as a film, directed by Louise Narboni in close collaboration with Jalet. This performance marks its first-ever live staging. Read more here.
Premiere: 21 June 2025 at The Norwegian Opera & Ballet in Oslo (NO).

CANCEL BERTHA showcases Martens' signature approach: reimagining dance as a space for individuality, connection, and subtle humor.
It's a dense dance evening that draws inspiration from polyrhythms and a love for layered storytelling. The Carte Blanche ensemble crafts a performance that balances the poppy, the avant-garde, and the deeply human. Read more here.

INSIDE QUEENS is a fabulous opera play for the security of your inner realm, premiering at Folkoperan in Stockholm (SE) on 23-24 April 2025.
Join us on an odyssey into magnificent inner and outer queens in a majestic research expedition led by internationally renowned director and performance artist Charlotte Engelkes. Scenes and songs written by Marina Steinmo and Engelkes are tied together by a fairy tale of a family gaining two queens in an auction to bring joy and glamour to their home. However, both vengeful and forgotten queens appear in the family's summer house and in the attic, creating unexpected chaos.
Charlotte Engelkes, opera singer Maja Frydén, circus artist Julietta Birkeland, and dancer Tobias Ulvfebrand take us on a journey and let us meet both possible and impossible royalty in a tribute to the queen figure in history, fiction, and perhaps in ourselves. All this in a newly composed musical stage work held together by a fairy tale and an exploration of different aspects of responsibility. Newly written music by composer Willi Bopp with elements of Donizetti’s opera Maria Stuarda and together with a String quintet. More info here. Tickets here.

Can reality be choreographed? Can reality dictate the choreography? Norrdans’ ten dancers share the stage with ten local residents, forming a unique ensemble that explores the concepts of crowds and power.
The crowd is a force in itself, capable of both support and destruction. In CROWDS & POWER, Martin Forsberg creates a choreographic field that stretches between the human mass and the actions that reveal the scales of power – between human connection and the dynamics of both the grand and the small.
In CROWDS & POWER, we experience set and costume design by David Gehrt and music composed by Anna-Sóley Tryggvadóttir. The work is enriched by Mads Lindegaard's lighting design.
The world premiere took place on 14 March 2025 in Härnösand(SE), and is followed by a tour across northern Sweden, concluding with two shows at Dansens Hus in Stockholm (SE) on 9-10 May 2025.

In February, Convoi Exceptionnel and director Jon R. Skulberg unveiled their latest creation: DETACHED FROM OTHERS. The performance delves into the complexities of loneliness—its quiet pain, its quiet power—and asks what it means to be human together, apart. Through movement, soundscape, and minimal yet captivating scenography, DETACHED FROM OTHERS invites the audience into a sensory world that resonates long after the lights go out. "A masterful musical and choreographic work about the pleasure and pain of loneliness. The experience is immersive, carrying us—through a minimalist gesture—from darkness to light in a resonant presence that lifts magically beyond conceptual thought." /The Danish performing arts magazine ISCENE Read the full review here.

MOVED BY IT is an engaging dance performance that delves into the essence of movement and dance. Through a blend of motion, sound, light, video, and diverse materials, it explores questions such as: What defines a movement? When does movement become dance? Is it guided by emotion or by the body? Are we moved by it?
Originally premiering as part of International Dance Day 2024 celebrations, the performance featured creators and performers Cassandra Arnmark, Nawar Hermez, Helena Lundqvist, and Rasmus Skaremark-Solberg. The upcoming re-premiere is scheduled for the same date one year later, 29 April 2025, and will this time tour for students in grades 7–9 with a partly new ensemble. Read more here.
