Nagelhus Schia Productions continues the tour of the ever-so-successful IN C. The upcoming performances at Dansens Hus on 5-8 Dec 2024 mark the 10th time the company performs this popular piece in Norway.
IN C is based on the musical composition by Terry Riley from 1964. Riley’s masterpiece is an open composition, generally considered to be the first piece of minimalist music. German choreographer Sasha Waltz has translated this concept into dance, creating 53 movement phrases to be used in a structured improvisation with clear rules. Nagelhus Schia Productions is currently the only professional dance company with the license to perform IN C with its own dancers. The upcoming performances at Dansens Hus in Oslo (NO) will feature three guest dancers from Sasha Waltz & Guests and seven live musicians. More info here.

HÄNDEL ON HANDS is a magical circus-musical-opera adventure that invites the whole family to experience the wonders of Georg Friedrich Händel’s music in a completely new way. Through breathtaking performances by circus artists, musicians, and opera singers, the audience is swept into a dramatic journey through the elements—fire, water, air, and earth.
HÄNDEL ON HANDS is created by the collective balans-resonans, an artist collective started on the initiative of cellist Mime Brinkmann, who has long carried a dream to be able to move like a circus performer when she plays. Together with the opera singer Thomas Volle and director Tilde Björfors, the three make up the artistic direction for the balance-resonance collective, whose purpose is to experiment and playfully develop what can arise in the meeting between the art forms of opera, music, circus, and visual arts. HÄNDEL ON HANDS can be performed for all ages, indoors & outdoors. Produced by Art from Circusheart. For more information please contact Åsa Edgren, Head of Sales, Finance, and Executive Producer here.

In DOLLY, OR/ELLER reimagines what it means to come to life. Through unceasing dance, different moments of becoming are explored via three iconic figures: Dolly the sheep, Dolly Parton, and the doll. Each of these Dollys reflects a different aspect of creation and existence—the clone, the artist, and the imaginary. DOLLY is a dance piece for audiences aged 10 to 99, inviting all to contemplate the art of coming to life— and how art itself comes to life.
Performance dates: 16 Nov – 1 Dec 2023, MDT, Studio 1, in Stockholm (SE). For more info and dates - check MDT.
NET by OR/ELLER is presented at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern in Stockholm (SE) from 3-12 Dec 2024 (only for preschools to attend). A net moves in and spreads in your school's sports hall or at your closest theater. NET is a dance performance where YOU call the shots. To catchy beats and melodic loops, we dance through this experience, mimicking, building, helping, waiting, fusing, and actively resting in the imagination. Suitable for children ages 5-9. On 25 Feb 2025 at Dansehallerne in Copenhagen (DK), Convoi Exceptionnel's next performance, DETACHED FROM OTHERS, will have its world premiere.
DETACHED FROM OTHERS is a choreographic and musical experience exploring the solitary body and the state of loneliness - a feeling many are familiar with. Numerous researchers point to loneliness as a modern public health issue, with several studies finding a link between loneliness and an increased risk of premature death. Yet, there are also qualities in chosen solitude and isolation. Loneliness is both an existential condition and a societal challenge, and it is in this nuanced ambivalence that the performance finds its foundation. The performance is created by Jon R. Skulberg and performed by the unique and charismatic dancer Kenzo Kusuda, supported by a newly composed organ piece by Lil Lacy, performed by organist David Bendix Nielsen— an instrument whose solitary nature amplifies and resonates with the theme.

Charlotta Öfverholm´s IN A CAGE OF LIGHT is being featured at this years online platform of Dansmässan - the dance fair in Stockholm (SE) with a focus on dance and choreography.
We tend to trust the predictable - but how much trust is needed to be unpredictable? A stage performer who has been in the spotlight her whole life is forced to reevaluate her trust in the body's own ability and to reappraise the relationship with herself. If your self-image was built in a cage of stage light, do you dare to trust that it is still intact when the lights switch off?
IN A CAGE OF LIGHT will be available at DANSMÄSSAN from 5 Nov-14 Dec 2024. Buy your ticket here.
More info here. Read the latest review from Sadlers Well's in 2024 here.

Following its premiere at Hallen/The Hall in 2023, DEADLOCK returns to captivate Swedish audiences once again from 6-21 Dec 2024.
DEADLOCK is an essay on trans-morphic dancing, a flight into the unruly. A reckless, utterly precise choreography, serially ordered, performatively embodied. Singular in kind, manyfold in subtext. Restrained, flickering light of a disappearance. At once death-wish and evidence of life. A dance. Immersed in the aesthetic thrill of a passage that unleashes the senses.
CCAP is a non-profit site for the production and distribution of choreography in the formats of performances, installations, publications, transdisciplinary art projects and social activities, founded and run by artistic leader Cristina Caprioli.
Performig dates: 6-21 Dec 2024, Hallen/The Hall, Farsta, Stockholm (SE). More info and tickets here.

Nordwind Festival and Kampnagel present AFIA and YEBO YES! on 12-13 Dec 2024.
Fast step sequences, rhythmic movements, and precise group choreographies characterize the South African dance isiPantsula, simultaneously marked by virtuosity and a spirit of resistance. The Pantsula subculture originated in the Sophiatown district of Johannesburg during the violent expulsion of black people during the apartheid era. It became a common expression and identity that united the country's eleven ethnic groups and was used as a means of communication during the demonstrations. In YEBO YES! the dancers combine isiPantsula with freestyle and club culture, emphasizing character, individual expression, playfulness, unity, and drive in an homage to the expressive power of this dance - an electrifying group dynamic and strong community that never seems to end. Tickets and more info here.
